Baby Vash!

My family is growing! Thursday evening we brought in the first of three kittens, Vash (the Stampede). Vash came to us through an amazing local rescue, but was too sick to adopt. He had been born feral, and was suffering from a terrible mouth infection that meant he had to have all his teeth removed. The rescue graciously allowed us to become his foster family while he recovered. It's been a journey, but Vash is finally feeling better and exploring his new home.
His name is Vash because his motto is love and peace. He's a snuggle-boy, and an absolute sweetheart. We knew we had to bring him home the moment we met him.
Abner hasn't met him yet, due to risk of contagion, but hopefully they will become fast friends.
I've been living on the floor in the office nursing Vash back to health. It's a much more enjoyable vigil. My muse is also slowly reawakening. I finished two extraordinary books last night, Don Bentley's Tom Clancy debut, "Target Acquired" and Mark Greaney's "Relentless". Both fantastic reads, and I'll be posting reviews soon. Being able to read again is usually a sign that I'm approaching a place where I can start writing again.
Vash is an adorable little goof and will make an excellent writing companion. His favorite thing to do is sit on my hubby's shoulder while he's on his computer, so I expect there will be many parrot Vash selfies as I dig back into book two.
